Amazing Race star to help save Coromandel beach

Mon, 03 Jan 2011 10:49a.m.

Phil Keoghan, host of American reality series The Amazing Race is lending his star-power to a protest aimed at saving a Coromandel beach from subdivision.

Resource consent is under consideration for a development at New Chum's Beach that will create 20 residential sections overlooking the water.

Mr Keoghan - who has been going to New Chum's for more than 20 years - says supporters will use a piece of aerial art to get their message across to Prime Minister John Key.

New Chum's was named one of the top 20 beaches in the world by a British newspaper back in 2006.

Veldig bra at Phil Keoghan engasjerer seg i kampen for å bevare naturens juveler. Dette er en av verdens vakreste strender og jeg håper aksjonen gir resultater.
